I loved this article! Wonderfully written. I have also always felt that childhood is not an age, but a state of mind. I think I tried to stay as a child for as long as I could because it was such a safe, happy place. Having childhood be nothing more but a memory was just too painful. But like your wife has showed you, all good things come to an end and eventually, more good things will replace them :)
